The intriguing free Real Age test at www.RealAge.com surprised me.  After I answered questions about my habits and history, the technology behind the test labeled me almost six years younger biologically than I really am!  The web site shouts the motto, “Live life to the youngest!”  The products and advice peddled on the site promise, “Look younger, live longer!”

What do you think?

The Bible says:  “Come now, you who say, ‘Today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a town and spend a year there and trade and make a profit’—yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring.  What is your life?  For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes.  Instead you ought to say, ‘If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that.’  As it is, you boast in your arrogance.  All such boasting is evil.  So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin” (James 4:13-17).

Life offers no schedule whereby we may pace ourselves to the last day.  So what should we do?  Do the right thing right now!  “For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit” (1 Peter 3:18).  You can be right with God.  Be born again—believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; repent of your sins; be saved as you are baptized (1 Peter 1:3-4, 3:21).  Stay right with God (1 Peter 4:1-5).

Are we younger than we think?  No, with every breath each of us is closer to eternity than we realize.  Do right, right now.
