What did Christ ever do wrong? Nothing (Hebrews 4:15; 1 Peter 2:22). “For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the Spirit” (1 Peter 3:18).
What does God hold against a faithful Christian? Nothing. With His blood, Christ made a new covenant between God and receptive people. His promise is, “I will be merciful toward their iniquities, and I will remember their sins no more” (Heb. 8:12). With faith and repentance, we can be baptized and wash away all past sins, calling on the Lord’s name (Acts 22:16). If we walk in God’s light, “the blood of Jesus His Son keeps cleansing us from all sin” (1 John 1:7).
What does a Christian lack that he needs? Nothing. “His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us to His own glory and excellence” (2 Pet. 1:3).
What can happen to a Christian that will separate him from God’s love? Nothing. ”For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Rom. 8:38-39).
What does a Christian need to worry about? Nothing. “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Phil. 4:6-7).
Thank God for nothing!
