Welcome to Hillcrest

At Hillcrest, we are striving to be Jesus Christ’s own people, eager to do what is good (Titus 2:14). We desire to be the church that belongs to Christ, which was established in Acts 2 on Pentecost at Jerusalem. We desire to be nothing more … nothing less.

Where will you be this Sunday morning? We would love for you to be with us, worshiping God and being encouraged to live as a joyful, faithful Christian.

Eager To Do What Is Good

We are involved in many works and activities as we seek to please the Lord! If you would like to learn more or become involved, please let us know.

Every “One” Counts

Members give an extra dollar each week with the contribution and collectively those dollars are given to a local individual who is in need.

Missions

Hillcrest has been involved in mission work for over three decades in Honduras. Over the years and currently, we are also involved in many stateside efforts as well.

World Bible School

Hillcrest member have had a long history of conducting correspondence study courses with World Bible School. If you’d be interested in a study click here.

Devo & Donuts

During the school year, youth are invited to short devotional at 7 a.m., Tuesdays, before they go to school. And they are served donuts!

Lads to Leaders / Leaderettes

Our youth participate in training program, known at Lads to Leaders / Leaderettes, to develop useful skills in their service to the Lord. They showcase their development each year at a convention in Memphis, Tenn.

Vacation Bible School

Every summer, we encourage all to be a part of our Vacation Bible School. While VBS is commonly associated with youth (and we do have enjoyable classes with crafts and snacks), we also have adult classes as well.

Ladies Seminar

Every spring, Hillcrest brings in a ladies spiritual author for a ladies-only Friday/Saturday seminar. The ladies usually enjoy three lessons and great fellowship, concluding with lunch together on Saturday.

Singing in the Park

One Sunday evening in the early summer is spent at (North) Morse Park for a worship service featuring mostly singing. We enjoy the outdoor setting, a picnic-style meal and especially homemade ice cream!

Gospel Meetings / Seminars

We bring in speakers in the spring and fall to encourage, motivate and strengthen us in the Lord’s work. Usually, we will have Sunday through Wednesday meetings.

Childhaven International

Hillcrest is pleased to work with this charity which sees to the needs of children in Honduras. It was founded by Hillcrest member, Bob Murray, and is now managed by his children: Todd, Tim and Keri (Collinsworth).

Green Valley Bible Camp

Our youth spend a week each summer at Green Valley Bible Camp in Rogers, Ark. There, during the Week 2 session, they are edified through much Biblical study and singing, and they engage in a fun-filled week of games, skits, softball, basketball, archery, ping pong, swimming and much more.

Ladies Fall Retreat

Each fall our ladies spend a weekend together in a vacation rental home in Ozarks. There, they enjoy wonderful fellowship with each other while engaging in Bible study, crafting, eating together and strengthening relationships with sisters in Christ.

Neosho Christian School

Neosho Christian School began in Hillcrest’s building two decades ago, and we have gladly been a part of this community / mission effort ever since. Not only did Hillcrest members begin the school, but several members have served as faculty or on the board through its existence.

Horizons

Junior high and high school students also attend Horizons, a week-long summer camp on the campus of Freed Hardeman University in Henderson, Tenn. Campers stay in the dorms and enjoy a week of spiritual enrichment, recreation and fellowship.

Gran Villas

Hillcrest is pleased to conduct a short worship service for Gran Villas of Neosho on the 3rd Sunday of each month.
